A fantastic stay for 7 of us coming from different locations around the UK. Convenient and easy walk to so many locations in York with lots to see & do to cater for different tastes. High quality beds and bedding in fact one of our party said it was ‘the comfiest bed ever’! Well provisioned [toilet roll, towels, kitchen rolls etc] and great showers. Thank you for the stay-highly recommend!
We had the best time at 4 St Martins lane! It was our kids’ first time overseas and my parents met us as well. We had 7 people comfortably in the house and everyone had the loveliest time. York is a beautiful city and getting to explore with a beautiful, comfortable home to come back to made it so delightful and easy to rest, chat, and gossip. We’ll hopefully be back! First impressions! Beautiful! Very convenient parking space by arrangement with Ziggy’s. Dinner out at Taas Indian restaurant-suberb. House spotless, quality furnishings. The Ackhorne pub-Quiant, lovely hosts. Great night’s sleep had by all. Bed and bedding very comfortable. York Dungeon & castle museum well worth a visit. Drake’s fish & chips-superb and they deliver to the property. Fabulous stay-thank you do much for having us.

A wonderful house to host my Portuguese family. A northern ‘lass’ who lives in The Hague with my a Portuguese man. We decided to get married in York as it’s close to my family and everyone gets a holiday! The house was amazing - a great base to reach the wedding venue and explore the sights of the City. As a bonus, the house was cosy and warm, something that was very much appreciated by people not really accustomed to zero degrees!
This has been a lovely long weekend. Ideal location and the best rented house we have stayed in. Perfect to spend with my family for my 70th. Thank you!

The house has met all the needs of 7 ladies. Beds and bedding were so comfy, crisp and clean. We found reasonable parking at the long stay car park at the station. Plenty to do in York. We had a fabulous weekend and would definitely recommend this property. Thank you for having us.

Lovely spacious house! Very comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms. Extremely clean and well equipped. Great for walking into York but also quiet in the evening. We will certainly be staying here again!

We four ‘girls’ lived together at East Lodge, Binfield Manor, Berkshire in the late 60’s and early 70’s. This has been an enjoyable reunion for us all and staying here at No4 has been really confortable and handy for all the interesting places in York. We really enjoyed a guided tour of the Minster, the hop on/off bus and the river tour - all very interesting.
Beautiful house in a great location. Everything we needed was here. Informative welcome pack and greeting much appreciated. We would highly recommend for a group/family stay. Hopefully we will revisit in the future.

Beautiful house well equipped. Great location, had amazing food finds - Los Moros, Pairings, great for food. The Social great for Sunday afternoon drinks. Howl bad and Charcuterie on Castlegate highly recommended. Fabulous time with friends to meet, chat and laugh.
Such a beautiful house - we didn’t want to leave and we will hopefully be back soon! We loved being able to walk to everything and the children had a fantastic experience at Jorvik and the Castle Museum. Thank you for the welcome - a nice touch!

A lovely venue for our family weekend away to celebrate a ‘big’ Birthday with grown up sons! Location was great and easy to walk everywhere with lots of pubs and places to eat on the doorstep - even the local pub along the lane. House has been great for all of us!

4 Lancashire lasses came here for a visit to the beautiful City of York. We came, we saw and we were bowled o dr by this magnificent property! What a wonderful time we’ve had here in York. Our extended vacation in your lovely apartment has made it all the better. The location could not be better… just a few steps away from the bustle of Micklegate and it’s many cafes, bakery, sandwich and coffee shops, not to mention 4 or 5 top notch restaurants! It’s a warm, comfy place to come home to especially with the arrival of winter weather. York rocks!

Beautifully decorated and comfortable house. Ideally situated for York Centre. Perfect for the 6 of us and would highly recommend it to others. The basket of goodies was a lovely extra touch which was appreciated. Thanks again for making us all so welcome.
Great location for a visit to explore the fantastic City of York. We particularly enjoyed the Shambles, walking the walls and Jorvik. Fair fax House is also very interesting. Our favourite meal was at the Rattle Owl highly recommended.
We have had a lovely week in York and lived the Lounge. The decor is all very attractive and relaxing, and the location is ideal. We recommend the Blue Barbakon polish restaurant in Fossgate which has excellent food, and also the Ackhorne pub just down St. Martins Lane - don’t be fooled by the exterior. It’s a good old fashioned pub with friendly staff and a little courtyard at the back. Thank you.

Fantastic house, really enjoyed staying here. Took advantage of the local eateries - Partisan is great for breakfast and had a lovely dinner at the Star Inn the City and the Lamb and Flag.
Although nothing was open indoors we did a couple of online ‘treasures hunts’ from the secret.city. Definitely recommend to see some places you would otherwise miss. Also went to Brimham rocks which was great and Fountains Abbey. Overall a lovely week, thank you!
What an amazing house! We really appreciated the space and the very lovely de oration in all the rooms! York is a very nice City to visit and we really enjoyed our time there. The location of the house is perfect - we’ll be back!
